With the Academy Awards only a few hours away, here are my picks for tonight. Just know that what I list here may not be who I want to win, but rather what I think will win. I’ll list both just to keep it interesting. For instance, you will notice that I picked Matthew McConaughey to win Best Actor, even though it will upset me to no end if he gets an Oscar before Leonardo Dicaprio does. I also think Gravity was an extremely overrated movie, but everyone else seems to love it, and I think it will be rewarded heavily this evening. And the Oscar goes to….

I’ve been really impressed with the quality of films I’ve seen this year. There’s been so many strong scripts and so many great performances that I think we’ll see a variety of winners tonight. I actually am a fan of Ellen and I’m sure she’ll do a great job hosting but more importantly, I’m just hoping that the director decides to keep cameras on Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence all night.
