Baseball

As far as sports are concerned, baseball was my first love and continues to be one of the sports I follow most. My grandfather used to sit me on his lap to read the Chicago Cubs articles in the Chicago Tribune and I got hooked immediately.

Although I’d move onto playing more basketball (and eventually golf) as I got older, there’s no denying that baseball took up a lot of my time as a youngster. If I wasn’t outside playing it, I was watching the Cubs on WGN or even watching the Cardinals with my old man if I had to.

And it’s still a sport I love to watch or even go old school by listening to it on the radio on my patio on a warm summer night. The Cubs are still my favorite overall team to root for, and watching them win the World Series in 2016 was easily the coolest moment I’ve witnessed in sports. This wonderful game will always hold a special place in my heart.
